Florida Family LawQ.I have a question about Florida Family Law. My husband, has 2 children from a previous marriage, when him and his x wife divorced in 2003, they were given Shared custody, with her as residential parent because my husband was over the road so often for work reasons. He was also given liberal visitations but no visitation guideline was put in the papers. At the time he was only able to get the children on every other weekend and holiday weekends etc. But since we have gotten married, we have watched the children any time his x wife needed someone to watch the kids, the kids go to school in our district, because she doesnt like the schools in her district. My husband asked for two weeks a month back in January, and she was okay with it at that time and ever since we've done every other week visitations with the children, and all has been fine, but now because she is upset with my husband for bringing me to a parent teacher conference she is now stopping the every other week visitation saying its to much on the children. Any advice for us??? A.It seems like your husband and his ex either need to agree on a regular schedule, which is put in writing and entered as an order of the court, or your husband needs to request that the court make a regular visitation schedule. The children need consistency. I would recommend contacting a family law attorney to go over your options, or going down to the local courthouse to get information on how to request a custody/visitation modification. without specific court order outlining visitation, hard to enforce if your husband wants more time and the ex will not help, then you need to get a lawyer go back to court to better define visitation Other Questions : Attorney General ImmigrationShould ex-employer make report to immigration that this ex-employee has filed for citizneship, got his green card through an arranged marriage, divorced after receiving green card, has a common law wife and one child that are illegal, one child is a ...
