Find A Lawyer In Virginia
Q.I got a "reckless driving" ticket in Virginia for driving 80 on 55 zone. Should I hire a lawyer? I have a pretty good record but I don't know very much about Virginia traffic court. I am not sure if a lawyer can help. In virginia, apparently speeding over 25+mph is "reckless driving". Does anyone know anything about traffic laws in Virginia? What exactly can a lawyer do for me?
A.I got a ticket in Virginia and went to court, not to fight it, it was excuse for a couple of hours off of work. That excuse saved me some cash though. See I told the judge that I was guilty and did the speeding. I told them that they caught me and that I had no excuse. He suspended everything, but court costs ($29). The bottom line is not to speed, especialy in a ncrazy state like Virginia. Just go to court and say yes I did it, I have no excuse. The people who begged and whined at the court all got very stiff penalties. Those of us who just said "I am guilty" got off with the lightest penalty. It seems to be a big deal for someone to admit guilt now a days, and not whine and cry and say it was anything and everything else but their fault. i would just take the the fine and be done with it.what can a lawyer say well my client was just going over the speed limit by 25 miles a hr. but its fine because she did not kill anyone! thats how so many accedents happen because people are in such a hurry to go no where. go over the speed limit to fast for the road and end up killing people. years ago when they got out of state drives with reckless driving they would hold them there til they paid the fines.
