Q.Are there any free lawyer in the state of texas? how can get the state of texas from stop taking child support from me when my ex-wife is recieving half of my military retirement. I spoke to Attorney General several times but they are not listening and I don't have money for a lawyer. Any advice for me???
A.check in the phone book for your local, or nearest, Legal Aid Society,,, they should be able to help or direct you to help . Contact the District Attorney at the local city office. They are free. Also find a lawyer who takes "contingency cases" That means that the lawyer only gets paid if you win the case. He gets paid out of the money you win. He doesn't get out of pocket money. Most states have a legal aid bureau. They go by your income for their fee.
