Lawyer : How do I find a great lawyer. I would prefer a lawyer that is recomended by former clients.?
Q.I really need a great lawyer. I looked at some of the big lawyer directories and all the lawyers are rated by other lawyers, which is useless (phony). How do I find a lawyer site where each lawyer is recomended by actual people, instead of thier fellow lawyer. Like where I can read lawyer reviews and ratings by former clients?
A.This lawyer site does exactly what you want. http://fatlaw.us I agree with you about the lawyers being rated by former clients, it is much more honest. Never go to a lawyer that was rated or recomended by another lawyer, a lot of shysters are out thier that will take your money and do nothing, and then the recomending lawyer gets a cut. And a lawyer isnt going to give one of his fellow shyters a bad review. When you go to the site I mentioned click your state and then "comments" to read the reviews, some are very disturbing. but there are plenty of lawyers with great reviews by former clients listed, this is how I found my lawyer. Your best bet is to go with recommendations from the ABA. It's impossible to ask lawyers for recommendations from former clients as even giving out their names violates the attorney/client privilege.
