DUI in west viginia... where to find lawyer?
Q.So my bf got charged with DUI (first) in WV but he is a PA resident. We need to find a good lawyer(but cheap) I know thats a rare combination but I would appreciate any recommendations : name/ firm/ website..etc. I know when your license is suspended for DUI you can get something to drive back n forth from work. But his job needs him to drive for delivery of stuff.. is there anything that can let him keep his driving rights for work??
A.The words lawyer, and cheap do not go together. You need an attorney to represent your boyfriend, and protect his rights. Depending on his driving record, the procedure could be easy, or hard. As far as obtaining a hardship/restricted license can be brought before the court by the attorney. If the Judge feels this should be granted, he/she will forward the recommendation to the DMV for final approval. Get a LAWYER!!! Without a lawyer the fines will be more severe than just $500 and a night in jail trust me. My recommendation would be to contact several dui lawyers in West Virginia and see if any will work out some sort of payment plan. Money up front and pay every month or every other month. You won't get the big hit up front. I have attached a link for you from a lawyer search engine. Do some investigation and make a decision based upon the information you read on their website. Word of advice though, try to find those lawyers that mainly handle these types of cases (criminal). They are typically the ones that are more qualified rather than someone that practice every type of law.
