Family Law in Texas?

Q.Does anyone know what will happen to a father who was a no-show today for a court hearing to make temporary child -support and visitation orders permanent? This is my sisters ex. She filed papers this morning also because he has not adhered to the temporary orders for child-support over the last 4 months. His lawyer showed up in court, but filed paper requesting that he be relieved as the fathers lawyer since he is unable to reach him by mail or phone call. Does anyone know how this will play out and what rights the mother may have to keep this creep out of the picture?

A.Normally if someone is served with papers for court and chooses not to appear the court can enter an order. If your sister has a caseworker at the child support enforcement agency she should contact them to find out what happens next. If she does not have a case with them, she should apply for their assistance at little or no cost. She will have whatever rights the court gives her in regards to keeping him out of her life. This act alone has gone a long way to keep "this creep" out of the picture. It will be very difficult for him to secure any parental rights in the future. The court will almost have to conclude that he wants nothing to do with the kids. However, it's not final until the judge says it is. Just take this a some great evidence for all future custody battles.
