Dui Lawyers
Q.I have a dui pending, and both of my lawyers just got locked up over dealing meth. What can I do? A buddy of miine told be about ineffectiveness of council. Does anyone know about this or if there is something else I can do? I already shelled out money for these two a$$holes, and I don't have enough to do it again.
A.You need to obtain another lawyer. DUI is a potentially serious offense which can result in a license suspension, heavy fine, jail time, or a combination of all three. If you can show that you don't have sufficient funds to hire another attorney, the court may appoint an attorney for you. You also need to demand a refund of at least part of your retainer from your prior attorneys, because if they have been arrested for a felony, may have been temporarily suspended from practice.
