Criminal Lawyers New York
Q.I was wondering: How would a lawyer become a celebrity's lawyer? I know it's not easy, so please do not ridicule me, I am just curious. What firms, particularly in New York or Los Angeles work with celebrities? Also, please note that I do not mean defense lawyers or anyone who would defend them for a criminal case. I mean something like a contract lawyer or anything like it that would help them with their movies, jobs...reading their contracts, or helping them sue someone else, just not defend them...
A.Most celebrities use lawyers that are high profile ones. If you want to become a lawyer for a celebrity you need to join a law firm that specializes in contract law, entertainment and media law etc. You can't simply start your own business because you would find it next to impossible to get any clients. They have the money to hire the best... so work at a firm that already has celebrity clients and that way you can learn from the best. You will also have to take specialized courses for contract law, etc. I don't know what firms in particular deal with celebrities, but check any that specialize in the entertainment industry. try www.Vault.com/law it gives a list of jobs and firms in that industry
