Criminal Defence Attorney

Q.To Convicting Jurors Am I missing something? Does anyone here have any idea what this is about? "The guy's name is Ed Heimlich. In the course of his business dealings he was accused of a crime. He lost his case and was convicted by a jury of his peers. He now refers to anyone in the Harris County DA's office, the jurors that he admits to chosing based on their religious beliefs, any cops (it doesn't matter if a particular dept was involved or not, defense attorney's, and at least two Judges of being in on a big conspiracy to "get him". His story has changed several times, with several notable embellishments over the years, yet he insists that all _________ (fill in the blank with any of the above groups) are repeatedly guilty of various crimes against humanity. "

A.I am a criminal defense attorney who works in the Harris County Courts every day, and I now know exactly the case you are talking about. What is interesting to me is that Werner Voight was hated by the Harris County DA's Office because he was so pro-defendant. Voight, who is no longer on the bench, would hardly have been in a conspiracy with any assistant district attorney. The reality is that there is so much crime in Harris County that the DA's office doesn't really need to "conspire" to create criminals-they can hardly keep up with them. Ed's problems started when he tried to instruct the constable in the finer points of law. That is a big no no. He is really lucky that they didn't shoot him instead of just arresting him. Most of the people who become constables do so because they can't get jobs as security guards. Expecting one to actually know any law or to even be able to read is really pressing your luck. He should have just kept his mouth shut and filed on the unlawful seizure. It would have cost him some money, but he would have gotten his things back, probably some damages, and none of this would have happened.
