Commercial Real Estate Lawyers
Q.I'm a commercial real estate broker. I have a specialty in self storage buildings, but I know a little bit about most other commercial income properties (i.e., offices, shopping plazas, hotels, parking lots, industrial space, etc.). But my job definately includes a good deal of reading contracts and talking with lawyers.. So, while there are areas that I'm murky on (i.e., reps & warranties), I know a good deal about r/e law. But I have no familiarity at all with residential real estate law, other than standard apartment leases... I've never had any interaction with a r/e law paralegal.. what do you do?
A.everything a lawyer is supposed to do for residential real estate but is too lazy to do...create the contract...conduct attorney review...go over home inspection with client...create closing documents...etc.... fun stuff....but i hopefully won't have to do it again after August and i know almost nothing about commercial real estate...just residential i was just sitting here working....going through a list of judgements against one of our clients...and wondering how many other people on here do what i do...and deal with what i deal with btw - got your email...ill get back to you soon...and i want to meet up with you at SPAC too...but we can discuss that when the time is closer
