Best Way To Find A Lawyer
Q.I got my second denial, so I guess it's on to the laywer. Question is, no job, no income, how do I find an affordable lawyer who'll take it on a contingency? (I have several disability conditions) Any idea other than yellow-pages calling? I have very little social contact, so I can't really ask anybody locally. Also, somebody told me there is a limit to lawyers fees fr this of $2500. Is that true?
A.All SS lawyers get paid by SS out of you back pay and only if you win you case. I'm not 100% sure but think the limit is now $3500. You are now on the clock so to speak. Open your phone book and start calling lawyers ASAP. When you pick one he / she should file the appeal for you ASAP so make sure to mention rather or not they do and that they handle all the paperwork on your behalf. How many SS cases and their record of approvals are valid questions to ask lawyers also. Unless you have been unusually fast getting to this point you should easily have their fee and then some coming already.
