Best Divorce Attorneys
Q.I'm looking for people in the Seattle ,WA area that have had their jobs, freedom, access to their children, or civil rights violated due to false accusations of rape, sexual harrassment, or child abuse. A small, high-powered organization is being put together to sue individuals or government agencies that have contributed to any such violation of rights. Once the organization is legally established I will post more information and possibly a questionaire to help facilitate legal action in your behalf. Right now I am fishing for feedback concerning this new group. Have you been a victim of such false accusations? Would you contribute financially in any way to support the organization? Any monies would go to maintaining an office, the legal fees would be on a contingency basis. One other thing may be in the works. Would you vote for a state initiative that would exclude lawyers from the divorce process?
A.Divorce is often way to complicated to be handled without knowledgeable representation. I would be more inclined to vote for an initiative that removed marriage from the purview of the state. That would then completely eliminate the divorce process. People would have to knowingly take affirmative steps to make specific partnership agreements, child bearing/raising issues, support, estate planning etc. One of the problems is that lawyers are required by professional ethics to get the best financial settlement for their clients, if not then they could be sued. Perhaps if they were granted some malpractice immunity on this issue, or emotional strain were given an offsetting value then they could engage in a better cost/benefit analysis. Or perhaps we could let children sue their parent's divorce attorneys for negligent infliction of emotional distress - a few big awards for that one would quell their enthusiasm for representation that is clearly too aggressive. And maybe some of the family assets that went to the lawyers could come back to the family.
