Q.the image of a lowlife lawyer ducking behind a tree while being shot by his ex-client was almost too good! do you think stealing almost 500k from the shooter had anything to do with his fate. a lesson for all other lawyers who think they can out smart people out of their money. i would love to be on the shooters jury when he is tried. i would celebrate as he walks out of court a free man! at the worst the shooter should get a 25$ fine for poor aim. Any ideas???

When you abuse a position of trust like that, you should expect exactly zero mercy.And in order to try to prevent such things from happening, bar applicants -- those who wish to become lawyers -- are required to demonstrate that they have the necessary psychological as well as the moral fitness to practise law. And the practical effect of such requirements is that, from time to time, a few particular applicants might have to submit to a psychological examination as part of the evaluation process. And those who decline to submit to such an examination are summarily denied a licence to practise law. And that's how it should be. There is a difference between a motion to withdraw as trustee and a motion to dissolve the trusteeship. It appears the shooter's interests in having the trusteeship dissolved were unrepresented. If the trusteeship were dissolved the attorneys wouldn't have control over the guy's money. The question now is whether his trust funds will be siphoned off to the criminal lawyers, or whether the criminal lawyers will seek their fees from the other attorneys' malpractice carriers.
