Q.What do I need to do to marry an American - Should I use an Immigration Lawyer? I will soon be entering America on a Visa Waiver document. My partner (with an American Passport) and I (living in the UK with a British Passport) intention to marry. We would like to live together in America, and I would like to know the possibilities of what Visa's/Documentation/Processes we will need to do this.
A.Get references and check into a good lawyer. They can answer all your questions, take care of confusing paperwork, and take care of everything for you. Yes, it's more expensive than doing it yourself, but unless you're well educated in immigration laws, it's the smartest choice.
