A.just don't settle!! if they come to you with an offer, you should automatically reject it. your attorney could counter-offer but you should know that the first offer they make is well below what they're willing to pay. i went through all that with my job because of carpal tunnel syndrome. they're going to put you through the wringer, they're going to watch you, spy on you, do actual surveillance, and if they can prove that you are capable of working moreso than what your doctor tells you you should, they'll run the challenge of workers' comp benefits into the ground. they do not want to pay you if they don't have to, and if they can find a way out of the claim, they'll screw you over. CYA = COVER YOUR ***. no truer words were spoken, written or read, and should be your mantra in this matter. always assume they're seeing what you're doing, even in the privacy of your own home.
